Daniel and I met and started dating in July of 2005. After a good year, we were married Aug 5, 2006. We lived in the Love Shack Trailer in Egin, ID. Though a bit far from town, we enjoyed ourselves and gained great friendships. In April 2008, we moved a few miles to Hibbard, near Rexburg. In September Baby Addyson entered our family; truly blessing our lives, hearts, and home.

I MISSED IT!

What kind of first-time mother am I! Well, I had just finished feeding little Miss Addy. I had to run into the other room, so I placed her on her stomach with some toys. She HATES being on her stomach, so why she wasn't fussing was beyond me...until I walked back in. She had rolled over for the first time! No wonder she was not crying. And I missed it! So I put her back on her tummy and do think she did it again. Nope. Not for an audience...stubborn little girl! But all the same, my little baby is growing up. Every day is an adventure even if we just lounge all day in our jammies. I love watching this little girl! I called Dan to tell him that she had just rolled over and he was sad he missed it to. He is such a great daddy!

Our Valentines Weekend was good. Friday Dan, Addy and I went down to IF to dinner and a movie. We got home around 12:30 and decided that since it was now V-Day we could open the box from the mail that our dear Morgan had specifically said, "Do not open until 2/14/09. She had sent some goodies for all of us, plus an adorable little dress for Addyson. She said that we were her Valentines this year. Thanks Morg. I worked half a shift (noon-6:30) on Sat. But Dan had made breakfast before and dinner afterwards. He is such a good guy. I am so lucky to have such an awesome family! Hope you all had a good Valentine's weekend.

Thanks Morg! Wink!! Wink! :)

4 months old and stuck in the 0% range!

That is right! 0%. We went to Addyson's appointment today hoping and feeling quite sure we had finally reached 10 lbs, but...No. We are still happy though because she is still growing well and healthy and we are loving every day of it. Here are her statistics today vs when she was born.
Weight: 9 lbs 10 oz (0%) vs 5lb 6 oz
Height: 24 inches (35%) vs 18 inches long
Head: 15.3 inches (3%) vs 12.5 inches round

I saw on a friends blog kind of an ode to their baby each month on their birthday and thought maybe I would do kind of the same...But I am a week late..My bad! So I am going to start now and name it... Adoring Addy!

Adoring Addy
I adore Addy's beautiful smile each time she sees us.
I adore how Addy recognizes her daddy and mommy.
I adore Addy's cute little frame, with each individual part.
I adore how Addy's starting to almost roll & her legs flopping over.
I adore Addy sucking on her toes, hands, arms...my arms, my hands, etc.
I adore Addy with her cute bows that I have learned to make.
I adore her big blue eyes that light up her parent's life.
I adore Addy when she poops on her own without a suppository (really, I do)
I adore Addy sleeping at night in her room for the past month 9 hours/night.
I adore watching Addy laughing and splashing in the tub.
I adore Addy's coos, laughs, and babbles.
I adore watching Addy and her daddy, loving each other.
I adore Addy flirting with everyone who looks at her.

I also want to share with you Addy moments from my camera on my phone. Enjoy!

GREG'S HOME! YAHOO!

So my brother, Greg, returned home from Afghanistan last Tuesday. Some of my family went and met him as he walked out of the plane. It was quite the ordeal! Lots of happy families reunited. Ours was one of them. My cute little nieces and nephews (Bryan's kids) all had their army gear on, looking ever so cute! There were TV station crews there doing interviews with the families. I guess my family was on several of the stations there in Utah, but I was only able to find one on the Internet. Anyway, that is all besides the point...

What a weekend this past one was! My oldest brother, Bryan, blessed his little girl, Samantha, on Sunday. So Dan, Addy, and I went down. Friday night Greg talked us into going to the Jazz game about an hour before it started. So we found some tickets on ksl.com (great website!) It was a blow out, but it was still great! Addyson was great throughout her first NBA game. She loved the bright lights of the place. The rest of the weekend was spent moving furniture and setting up new furniture for my brother's house.

Todd, Sue, and Elijiah

Our drive home was long! Our car was in the body shop from being hit, so we took Dan's pickup. About 2 miles from home, something went out in his truck so we had to drive about 20 mph home. Then this morning it wouldn't start so Dan had to go still his brother's truck (who is out of town and we are watching his son all week). He took me to Sugar to pick up my car because my parents had picked it up while we were in Utah and ... it was dead! We jumped it and it did fine until I got home. I turned it off and restarted it and it did well. So I went into the house and got Addyson ready for her Dr. appointment and back out the door...DEAD! Not to mention we were already running late. So a call to Dan and the Dr. office. Man, I love how blessed I am to live in a time of vehicles...but when they don't work...I don't love them so much! oh well...

So I saw some melting snow in the backyard?

Okay so the weird melting snow in the backyard turned out to be a newly formed lake due to a crack in the main water line. How was I suppose to know? My bad! I had noticed this trench getting larger over the past couple of weeks, but hey we have had a lot of sun and melting snow. So Friday Dan was running late for work and noticed from upstairs that there was running water into the trench...he knew something was wrong. He had to call in a dig line to get all the lines marked, call up all the neighbors who share our well, and arrange with his brother, Chris, to have some of the guys come dig up my yard. What did they find...

Oh a nice 6 inch crack in the line that has been broke for who knows how long. But hey...Dan stayed home that day...so that was nice. Thanks you Dan, Chrissy, Derek, and Kirk, and to all my patient neighbors who endured no water for the afternoon and me calling over and over! You will all be glad to know that we have much better water pressure now!

Addy and I even got bundled up to check things out!

I HATE THIS PUZZLE!

So Daniel bought me this puzzle last Christmas (2007) and in November we decided to put it together one night for FHE. Never did we ever think we would hate it so bad! It is the hardest puzzle I have ever made an attempt to do. I don't think it will ever get done because we basically only work on it when we can convince Kimmi and Jake to come over and help us. It is one big picture in which each piece is a scene from a Disney movie. My roommies and I in college did one kind of like this once and it took us about a month. But I hate this one! So I cannot promise you that you will see an end result! Sorry.

I Know...I am a slacker! No one needs to tell me. I can't say I have been too busy, I just haven't sat long enough to type anything. I am back to work now and things are going pretty well with that. I think I am adjusted back into the old routine...just a little more tired. On my days off, between hanging out with Addy, I have been trying to keep up with my house. So there are my excuses! But we had a wonderful holiday season with our new baby! I can not believe she is already 4 months old! My pregnancy did not even go this fast! What's up with that! Okay, I will stop talking and share some of the holiday festivities.

We bombarded Egin's Christmas party so Addyson could meet Santa Clause. She and her friends tried to be so brave when they met him. It still cracks me up to see little kids squirm when meeting Santa. Even Addyson cried...but I got in that picture, so you can't see it now.

Addy and St. Nick

Jon & Bonnie's little Alyn, Addy's cousin

Weston & Mandi Crapo's tots, Kallie and Cole

John & Lacey Blake's little girl...also John and his broken leg from his Olympic jump

We spent Christmas Eve with Daniel's family out to DeVerl and Pat's. There was snowmobiling, food, and chatting. The kids put on a wonderful Nativity skit. It was cute. We then exchanged gifts and visited more before everyone had to make it home before Santa showed up.
Would you know that Santa even brought Dan some things! He even got a gun! (I think it was a $6.00 one from Cal Store) That Santa sure knows how to shop! We loved spending Addyson's first Christmas morning together! She was so cute sitting in her bumbo chair to open some gifts. She is just so dang cute and petite!
After we had our own Christmas ordeal, we went to Bryce and Sherry's for my family's gathering. We ate brunch, open gifts, hung out, then ate again. It was such a nice weekend.
I went back to work on the 27th and Dan was suppose to watch Addy, but he went snow boarding and left her with Tif. So thanks Tif! The 31st we went up to a cabin in Ashton with Dan's family. There we lounged, played games, played in the snow, and ate like kings! It was such a good time. Sad to have the Holidays over, but still the same, enjoying the new year!

LAST WEEK'S ADVENTURES

8 lbs 3 oz, 21 1/2 in long, and SHOTS!
Monday started out a little rough with Addyson's 2 month doctor visit and the shots that come with it. Her statistics were fabulous, I didn't mind watching her get the shots, but the aftermath...oh the aftermath. When we got home, Addyson just cried and cried and cried. I am a great mom and do not own a bottle of infant Tylenol. So she cried and cried more. That afternoon my wonderful sister-in-law, Christina, brought over some Tylenol and offered to take Addy for a bit, so I could get composed. I really appreciated it.

The bath helped for a bit, but she did sleep like a log that night! Thank you Tylenol!

Our next event for the week was the Sugar Salem Elementary Christmas Program. For those who aren't familiar with this event, it is quite the ordeal and my mom and her buddy, Sandra, put it all together. This year's theme was "The reason for the Season." It was split into two nights to accommodate seating better. This is my mom doing her thing. The program was really great this year!

The joys of my mother being in charge is the family support system.... AKA. Our new baby girl became Sugar's baby Jesus... And yes, Dan made the best Joseph! He was a great sport, but said the only reason he agreed to it was because there wasn't any speaking part.

We walked in during a special musical number, Mary Did You Know, sung by the boy who stared in Sugar's High School play Les Miserables. It was beautiful. Then we just sat in the stable for for the rest of the show.

Addyson was so good for all the rehearsals, programs, and even all the kids mauling her after each event. She was a true superstar :) During the day rehearsals, each teacher brought their classes over to see the "Baby Jesus" and the kids ewe and awe over her. So much for my plan not to let too many people touch and breath over her! That is what she endured for four days. But it was all worth it! It was a special experience to represent that sacred family and time.

The finale was very nice. The children sang a really special song while the angels hovered over the stable, and the Shepard's, wise men, and drummer boys all came to adore Jesus. It was quite special and memorable. Thanks Mom. You did a wonderful job!

THE BIG GAME!!!
THE BYU COUGARS VS THE UTAH STATE AGGIES

Back when Addy was blessed, my cousins invited us to join them at the Delta Center for the big game. So they got us tickets as well as dressed us in their USU attire to attend. It was a great time and the whole game was close. The Cougs took home the victory, but I didn't have a preference, so my feelings weren't hurt.

Reed and Joni are season ticket holders, so they got really good seats down below. Joni didn't really like living on Holman late time because she didn't want to miss a thing. They all took the track, while Dan and I drove to the Delta because we were coming from dropping off Addy at my friend, Morgan's. We beat them their, but luckily they made it just in time for tip off! Thanks Reed, Joni, Josh, and Ash!

Most of our group: Josh & Ashely Hoth, Bryan & Romina Holman, and us..Dan & Brooke

Not only is Romina such a babe, she is a total sport!!! She could have had her baby any day and was having contractions all that day, but she still joined the party. She did end up having her baby today. Congrats Bry and RO! (Samantha Holman 7 lbs 3 oz, 19 1/2 in I think) We love you!

Thanksgivng with Family and Daniel's Birthday

Well, no we didn't fall off the face of the earth. Nor did we break our cameras. I am just now finally getting to this. Our Thanksgiving was wonderful! My sister came up from Arizona and it was wonderful to see her and show her little Addy. The night befor the big feasts, the Holman clan made a trip to Fongs so Tyree could get his fix while in Idaho. PS. My family loves Fongs so it was natural for the Arizonians to miss it!
I let Dan and Addyson sleep in on Thanksgiving morning while I made my awesome green salad :) Then we went to DeVerl's & Pat's for delicious grub! The sun was shining, the weather was just right, so we all headed out back for some skeet shooting. Most of us gave it a go. I don't want to brag, but I nailed one on my first try :) Okay, I know it was luck. It was fun to watch all my brother-in-laws getting excited to show their kids how to shoot. I decided that if times get rough, I am moving in with Jed and Angie, cuz Jed can sure shoot!
We enjoyed a second Thanksgiving feast with my family, aunts, uncles, cousins, you name it! We grubbed at my Uncle Keith's & Aunt Zulma's and enjoyed every bite! Then we hit a late movie with a bunch of my family members. It was such a great day! I have so much to be thankful for! But most of all, I am so greatful for my Heavenly Father who has blessed me with such a wonderful husband, baby girl, and two terrific families!

We made a trip up the snowy roads to Mesa Falls for Daniel's birthday. We just wanted a nice afternoon roadtrip together. Okay, I did, but I hope he enjoyed it. I made him pumpkin squares instead of cake, because I knew he likes it a lot. It was my first go at them, and I think I am just a natural Betty Crocker...NOT!

I was just checking up on people and their blogs, when I ran across this. After reading my friends, I was a little curious to see which character princess I was. I'd have to say I was a little surprised...and I might just have to add... I don't think Mulan was a princess! So I must not be one either :( We are both just stubborn family girls! But of course, I have kicked boy's trash in my day! I guess Mulan and I are alike!

The Daniel Stoddard Family

Well, I got suckered in again! About a month ago I went and got Addyson's first pictures. But then I decided we should utilize those free picture coupons and get some family pictures. I had a plan; I was only going to get the deal on the coupon. But then they start pulling out the big guns: The pictures of her smiling and especially smiling at us! We loved them! I couldn't resist. I bought the disk. So, I am looking at the bright side...now you all get to enjoy what we did yesterday!

We are so in love with this little girl! I carry my camera with me all day long, because I know she is going to do something that I JUST HAVE to have a picture of!
