Daniel and I met and started dating in July of 2005. After a good year, we were married Aug 5, 2006. We lived in the Love Shack Trailer in Egin, ID. Though a bit far from town, we enjoyed ourselves and gained great friendships. In April 2008, we moved a few miles to Hibbard, near Rexburg. In September Baby Addyson entered our family; truly blessing our lives, hearts, and home.

Addy's gone mobile!

MY PRECIOUS BABY!

I am a week late of Addy's birthday, but better late than never, right! Okay, I will keep telling myself that. She turned 8 months old this month. This month has been the best by far! Addyson's personality has definitely shown forth! She is so funny. She is quite the drama queen and very sassy! We survived the little teething phase, which ended with no teeth at all! So I guess the fun will start all over some time :( Here in the last two weeks, she went from rocking on her knees to doing the army crawl. She wont do it on demand though...Ya know, like when you want to show someone...But when she wants something...she will get it! I love watching her. She cracks me up. She has been going through these phases where she loves her baby food A LOT, then she hates it and just the site of it makes her cry...Don't ask me what that is all about...I am just a first-timer! Anyway. She is still a shrimp, but I can definitely tell that she has gained weight...She just feels more solid that she used to.

OKAY, YOU MAY GUESS THIS IS MY FAVORITE FACE SHE MAKES!

I LOVE THIS GIRL!!

So you don't have to continue reading this...But these are the things I adore...

Adoring Addy
I adore Addy's snorting noises she makes when she scrunches up her nose.
I adore Addy kicking my head and back when I wont wake up in the mornings after I have put her in my bed. After all I should be giving her my attention!
I adore watching Addy getting from point A to point B any way she can!
I adore Addy's high pitched squealing songs that she sings throughout the day!
I adore When Addy falls asleep in my arms or on my chest and how sweet she looks(okay is)
I adore watching Addy play with her cousins and friends. She looks like a big girl!
I adore Addy taking her long naps!
I adore taking stroller rides and bike rides with Addy. Especially when Daddy goes too!
I adore that Addy allows me to put bows in her hair and usually keeps them in
I adore Addy how happy she is when she awakes and sees you to get her after her naps.
I adore taking pictures of Addy and how photogenic she is!
I adore reading to Addy and how she loves her books.
I adore saying Addy prayers at night with her.
I adore Addy in my life every day!

ENJOY THE HOT SUMMER DAYS!

Yes, enjoy them because they come scarce. Last Saturday was such a hot, and wonderful day! Saturday morning my brothers and Dan thought it would be fun to take the kids out to the dunes to go riding. So we loaded up the bikes and 4 wheelers, weenies, chairs, and sodas and trucked out there. It was really fun. The little boys' 50's did not do to hot in the sand, but it was sure funny trying to watch the big boys try to get them up even the smallest hills. So we just let the little kids drive the 4 wheelers around where we had set up our fire camp.

It was pretty eventful little trip...Justin wrecked his bike (no damage.) I tipped over the 4 wheeler :( (no damage) Dan did who knows what to his back...(After 5 days, Darvacet, Lortab, Flexeril, Naproxen, Toradol, Decadron, two patches, and the Dr visit, he is feeling much better :))

I think I got the award for being the smartest and also the award for best sunburn! For those that grew up with me, the answer is no...I still have not realized that I burn every time I go outside...What is sunscreen? I am still looking for that!

This is Addy at her Daddy's Dr. visit...Ready to be checked on too! By the way she has been teething or something the last week and a half, because she has not been my totally content baby! She has become the ultimate Momma's girl! Fussing, not letting me out of her sight, drooling on everything, fevers, runny nose, wont eat, wont sleep, problems out the back end. I am no expert, but something is going on...And I hope she returns to my sweet little princess after all those teeth come through! I love you, Addy!

Anyway...That evening we had a BBQ at my parents and then watched a movie on a projector outside...It was pretty fun. Thanks Todd and Suzy for arranging it all. Here are some of the photos from that night...

My mom and dad enjoying the fire.

Barry and Karin's little girl, Rachel and Blake's dog, CAT. It was so funny watching Rachel play with Cat. When they didn't know anyone was watching, Rachel would lay down and Cat would wrapper her arms around Rachel. After Cat saw us trying to get a photo, she wouldn't do it and she went and hid behind her house whenever she saw me pull out my camera...Now we know that not only is she afraid of the sound of a gun, but also the flash of the camera!

Addy was so content watching the fire. She was good all night...the next day the teething began!!!

My nephews and nieces had to take turns on the tramp...That is what happens when there are 20 grand kids! This was some of the little boys' turn

Todd and Sue

What has been going on lately?

Things are still moving right along, and very quickly. This week Addy turns 8 months, which again blows my mind! I never remember May going by this fast growing up! Today marks 8 years since my class graduated. Might I also add that it has been 15 years since Dan graduated :) Congrats to both of us.
At the beginning of the month, Addyson and I went down to Salt Lake to spend a few days with family and friends. The 4th was my dearest Morgan's birthday day, so we spent the afternoon and evening hanging out with her and her friends. Addy loves her Auntie Morgie!

It was really fun to see some of her friends that I had not hung out with for a couple of years. It was also kind of funny to see how weird I felt amongst a crowd of single youngens my own age...I felt so old...and tired!

My brother, Greg bought a home Southeast of SL, so Addy and I went shopping with him to try to liven it up a bit. It was fun to hang out with Uncle Greg, but again, I felt like and old mom...and tired! I took a couple of my nephews and a niece to Greg's Soccer game in Orem. He plays on the Utah National Guard team and they played against the British National guard. As I watched Greg play, I thought about when we were younger and all played on teams. Greg still looked like the fast little tyke out there :)

Might I add that it was so dang hot there and this was the week that it was SUPER WINDY, rainy, and cold in Rexburg.

Mother's Day started off a couple days early. I had to work Friday, which was the day after I got home from Utah. While at work, to my sweet surprise, Dan sent up BEAUTIFUL roses wishing me a wonderful Mother's Day on Sunday and just to say he missed us. What a surprise! We went out to Dan's parents for a wonderful dinner on Mother's day. The guys even helped a bit to clean up dinner...Kind of. Then we watched the dad's play a small game of baseball with the kids. Just an overall great day! Good weather and great company!

I love being a wife and a mother! I may not be very good at either, but these two experiences have been the most rewarding and promising blessings ever! Thank you Dan for always making me feel so loved and special! And for always being so willing to help me out...Especially right at this very moment that I can hear you upstairs putting the dishes away! THANKS! Let me just tell anyone that reads this...I have got a keeper!

Last but not least, I don't know if anyone has heard of the Tummy Tub...Well this is NOT IT! Dan showed me a clip of them online and I thought it was silly. So when Addy and I got home, I sent him a clip of our own homemade tub...The Wally Tub-Good ole Walmart sells those buckets for like $3...And Addyson loved it just the same...Probably even more because she could fit her toys in the bucket too! Anyway. I thought the clip of her splashing was so cute, but I figured I wouldn't be smart enough to put it on here, so you just get the picture instead!

Addy is 7 months old! Cannot believe it!

I am just completely taken back on how quickly time is flying by! And my guilt builds each day that I take more pictures and do not scrapbook! WAY BEHIND! Things are still going great around here. We all battled colds, but we are over that now...We passed it on to our friends, the Neville's, who watch Addy when I go to work...Sorry Lynz!

I took this picture today after I tried on several different outfits to see what was too small, what was still too big, and finally what fits this week! I am serious, that is how we roll these days...WHAT FITS THIS WEEK! She is finally starting to grow I think...She is still a shrimp, but see it for yourselves...She has truly grown! This little pink outfit was my favorite one she wore as a preemie, and I guess I was given it in a size 3-6 month. (yeah we are just now coming out of 0-3 months...but hey, that is still growing!) Anyway. I put her preemie outfit on this bear to compare and I cannot believe she was small enough to wear that little outfit!

Our ward had a new bishopric called and then the next week Daniel was called as the Executive Secretary. He met with the old one to kind of get a fill of what he should expect and from the sounds of it, he is going to be pretty busy! I decided I am a bit selfish with my family and time (okay, I already new, I was just a bit bummed) I really enjoy spending our Sundays together and being able to skip town once in a while. Plus I am a little worried about how things will work out with Addy on the Sundays and Tuesdays I work. It has been so nice just having Dan to watch her those days. It actually makes me sad to think otherwise. :( I know I am lame! But I know he will be an asset to the ward and that we will all grow from it. I am just a whinier! Anyway, I thought this picture was so dang cute after we got home from church.

Addy totally loves her daddy! I just cannot make her laugh like he can!

We have enjoyed the couple of hot days that we have had so far. We had my brother's and their families over one night and broke out the BBQ grill.

Here Dan and Barry are doing the man thing-cooking on the grill

Then the next night we did the whole things over with a crew of our friends. If that wasn't enough, the following night we went up to Green Canyon with my family. Dan said he had enough hot dogs and hamburgers that weekend to last the rest of the summer.

Here they go again...the Man thing! Dan, Nate(Hartstock)and Brandon (Fell)

Melissa, Addy, Kimmi, Me, Lacie, and Chelsie (sister's from IF that we lived with through college.)

We actually had this get together in honor of Kimmi's birthday, so thank you Kimmi for making this fun night possible! It was way fun to see some of our friends that we don't see too often these days.

Back to Addyson! So as I mentioned before, she is now 7 months old as of today. She is such a doll! We absolutely love having her in our home and lives! She just lightens our lives and loads so much! We love you Addyson!

As we were trying things on today, I came across this hat, boots, glove set that was given to us. I wish I had found them earlier, but luckily she still fits into them. She looked so cute and was making the most innocent sounds while I had them on her. I was laughing so hard.
Anyway. It is getting kind of late, and I have to work early in the morning. I promised myself I would do this blog today because I really want to stay up on that goal I made to blog on each of her birthdays (well, ya know monthly birthdays) So here is to my little Addybug!

Adoring Addy
I adore how Addy's look changes so very much from week to week, and her personality continues to brighten!
I adore Addy's beautiful eye lashes that have finally come in :)
I adore Addy's dirty clothes that get added to ours and never slows down!
I adore Addy's high pitched squealing songs that she sings throughout the day!
I adore Addy's toothless grin and occasional shy look to others.
I adore Addy's independence, but really enjoy those days she allows me to cuddle her!
I adore Addy and how she is sitting up like a big girl!
I adore Addy rolling all over the floor and the speed she's got moving! WOW!
I adore that Addy is out of most of her 0-3's, but am going to miss some of those cute outfits!
I adore Addy how happy she is when she awakes and sees you to get her after her naps.
I adore how content she is and can entertain herself for quite a while!
I adore Addy being a child of God and knowing that He sent her to us!
I adore Addy and how she has changed my life for the better!

I love you so much Addyson Lou!

WONDERFUL WEEKEND IN SLC!

This past weekend was spent with my family down in Salt Lake. My family usually always goes there for every conference. We drove down Friday and again had the wonderful experience to attend my Dad's Argentine Mission Reunion with Elder Scott. He led us in a wonderful discussion of temple preparedness and attendance and then mingled with everyone. He is so kind and wonderful!

While we mingled, everyone also go to enjoy the hundreds of yummy empanadas my sister-in-law, Wonder Woman, I mean Romina made! If you haven't had the privileged of meeting her, you are completely missing out! She is amazing! There was a long line to visit with Elder Scott, so we enjoyed playing with Addy while we waited and also visited with a lot of my Dad's good friends.

Addy got to meet Elder Scott for the first time, along with our niece, Cassidy. He is so wonderful! I can't say it enough!

For those of you who know my family...there is not just a few of us! 2 awesome parents, 8 siblings and a countless numbers of spouses :), and 20 nieces and nephews. Not all of us where there, but it was still an event to house this many folks! So between Bryan and Ro and Todd and Suzy's hospitality, we were all safely attended for! When I say safely, I mean between all the kids and adults rough-housing, wrestling, and playing there where no injuries. That itself always makes for a good weekend!
Saturday was opened bright and early with an adventure to Todd's house for a birthday breakfast for Uncle Ricky's birthday!

Talk about amazing buffet style with everything you could think of to eat for breakfast! Awesome job everyone! Thank you to all those who didn't stay out late and then awoke early to cook (yeah...we made it just in time to eat, so we can't take any credit!)

HAPPY B-DAY RICKY!

During the break between conference, Dan, Addy, Brit, Suzy, and I went over to the church to watch the boys play ball (again, always greatful for another safe event with the competitive Holman boys!) Suzy and I had our own game of PIGGY. Who won? Amazing-ME, PIGGY-Sue! We had to add a few extra letters to pig to give Suzy a chance :) Suzy, if it makes you feel any better, it was luck because I don't think I have shot a basketball since high school! But good game!

My wonderful Uncle Dan gets the boys tickets for Priesthood session, so off our handsome older boys went Saturday evening. They all had a nice time. Todd was there too, but he was the designated photographer

While they were gone, the little kids entertained us with lots of dress up time and clean up time (multiple times!)

The boys were Superheros!

And the girls were beautiful ballerinas.
We also played Missionary Bingo (which Karin and I improvised to make it work for us! They will play anything for a treat! So I showed them the treat and then told them in order to play they each had to do a job first(sweep, clean table, pick up toys in kitchen...worked well!) All the kids Bingo papers were the same, so we went around the table and I picked the picture and Karin asked a question about the subject. If they got it right, then they could put a skittle on it. It kept the kids well entertained for at least an hour!
When the boys got home, we had an awesome BBQ for Rick's birthday. Thanks again Ro for your amazing talents!

After the first session on Sunday, my mom wanted to do a little Easter Egg hunt for the kids. Barry and I had just as much as fun hiding the eggs as the kids had looking for them. It was a nice, sunny day!

Cassidy helped Addy find her eggs. Thanks Cass!

We love our Holman family and are grateful for the wonderful weekend. Thank you again Romina and Bryan for your awesome hospitality!

Another dr. visit to add to the book!

Addy and I went to the doctors for her 6 month check. I am always a proud mama when the nurse asks all the questions about development and I get to say yes to them. We are so blessed to have such a good and healthy baby! She is growing more like a small pine tree than a weed, but still the same, growing. As I went to put her on the scale, I kept thinking, 12 lbs, 12 lbs...so when I saw that we were still in the 10 lb range, my mouth about dropped. But the doctor was pleased and said everything is still good because she is consistently gaining. She was so sad getting her shots today (I think possibly because nursing student drilled a hole into her bone instead of the muscle...but I was there before and so I am glad poor Addy could be a practice pin cushion for her :)) So here are Baby Addy's stats as of today:

weight: 10.9 lbs. 0%
height: 25 in. 21%
head circ: 16 in. 16%
